About me
I enjoy mountain sports like skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and hillwalking. I also visit the gym regularly so am reasonably fit but still enjoy a good night in the pub. I'm 48 and have been told that I'm a Grant Mitchell look-alike although I personally can't see the resemblance. My musical tastes include The Klaxons, CSS, Nick Cave, Bjork, Crystal Castles, Foals, Portishead, The Young Knives (I could go on forever). I'm looking for someone who's quite laid back, sporty, preferably petite, a non-smoker, dark (in looks and humour) but I'm open to persuasion (except the non-smoker bit).

- Where I liveIt's on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Lots of walks nearby, easy access to the Pentlands and a 15 minute bus ride to the town centre

- Do you want to stay there?I'm happy enough here at the moment but I quite fancy living in the Swiss Alps.
- What is your occupation?I'm a Data Analyst.
- What have you done so far?Too boring to mention.
- What are your future plans?I plan to win the lottery and retire.
- Your perfect partnerI don't believe in perfection, but I suppose someone who's beautiful, intelligent and shares my interests. Or is that too much to ask for?
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?Not much in the way of hobbies, although I moved into my house just over 2 years ago and I'm continually finding DIY jobs which one of the previous occupants has completely botched. So I've had to become a bit of a DIY person myself.
- MusicI love music and do my best to keep up with all the new indy bands. I could give a list but I don't think there's enough room here. I'm listening to Foals while I write this.
- Your fav tv seriesAny escapism.
- Your fav books/authorsI used to read loads of science fiction. Nowaday's my answer would have to be the same as above. My favorite authors are Mervyn Peake, Franz Kafka, Bill Bryson, Irvine Welsh, Philip K. Dick, to name a few.
- What sort of movies do you like?Again, my answer here would be the same as the last two questions.
- Types of people you like?I tend to get on best with easy going people who are not afraid of speaking their minds.
- What kind of people do you find attractive? Physically, I tend to find dark haired, petite women most attractive but an agreeable personality is much more important.
- FoodI like Indian, Thai and Mexican (anything a bit spicy).My favorite restaurant in Edinburgh is Khushis.
- DrinksI like real ales (but I don't have a bushy beard and a beer belly} and red wine. I occasionally get a bit pissed but never to the falling over stage.
- HolidaysIn the past most of my holidays have been skiing ones, so I've been to most of the skiing countries (France, Swtzerland, Austria, Italy, Canada, USA and Slovenia) but I've also been to Spain, Greece, Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia.
- PetsI love animals and used to have all sorts of pets when I was a child, but don't have any at the moment. Although I am thinking of getting a cat.
- Fav PlaceThe Swiss Alps.
- What's your favourite radio station ?I only ever hear the radio when it wakes me up in the morning.
- What's your favourite drink?Badgers Golden Glory.

- What are your favourite activities?Ski Touring, hillwalking, mountain biking and anything that gets me into the mountains.
